The first iteration should always be a DIY project. (aka Do It Yourself)
No research, no instruction, no opinion, or any kind of guidance, just using your brain to its fullest extent.
We think that we don’t know enough about X even before trying to do X by ourselves. I hardly remember building anything without asking ChatGPT to create a solid action plan for it.
Imagine this: would we ever be able to walk if our parents showed us the “How to Walk 101” YouTube series without letting us try and fall?
The usual destruction starts with “I don’t know much about this. I will need to do some research or at least ask ChatGPT before getting started.”
(Using AI in your first draft/iteration will surely ruin your authenticity and contaminate your entire project with generic, unimportant elements.)
The first draft is meant to suck.
With a few more iterations, feedback, and suggested improvements, your final version will hardly resemble the first draft. But does this mean the first draft has any less importance? No. In fact, you will never be able to reach your final version without it.
It’s a simple no-brainer that you cannot improve on a thing that you don’t have in the first place.
One more thing to remember.
Spending too much time with the first draft itself will create unnecessary attachments. Those attachments will make you feel reluctant about the upcoming necessary changes.
